I’m trying to figure out a good pipeline workflow with a formula that can read multiple items, possible subitems. I’m still trying to see which is the best workflow that can still successfully generate.
We have multiple products we sell and sometime will sell them at the same time or we are looking with the client on the best option. Whether that be a specific tier (individual/pro) or billing cycle type (perpetual/subscription), same product but some qualify for special discounts (one falls within a retro-pricing discount while the other is full price) or separate product types entirely (product 1/product 2).
Originally, I tried subitems for this. However I found multiple limitations with automations and formulas that caused conflicts so I tried instead to maybe see if we just do separate deals per each different product item and instead do the product pricing through the main item columns but still have to do all the calculations within and combine the discounts and that is also added extra work to create deals and is time consuming.
In both cases, if I use more than one product I can’t get a formula to generate that works. I was trying to make something like “Company name - (quantity) Product 1 + (quantity) Product 2” The formula works perfectly if its just one same product “Company name - (quantity) Product 1”, but if you want to do different tiers, types, billing cycle, etc I just can’t get the formula to reference two or more products from the mirror column to reflect that. regardless if the items from the connection board in the main item or in the subitem mirrored to the main item columns.
Anyone else used a formula like that before? I did see this post but don’ know if it relates because it’s trying to mirror from another board instead so doesn’t look like it’s the same issue. Formula mirror column error (connected board with multiple items)
