The new workflows have been immensely helpful in many of my processes.
However, I need to be able to utilize formulas for a multitude of reasons.
Having the ability to either reference a formula column, or even see create formula blocks to be referenced in other blocks in workflows would be huge!!!
Here’s a step-by-step guide how you can bring formula output into regular column rather than formula and thus be able to use automations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f51NaLaeT3I
Hello,
Interesting thought. However, I try not to use other apps unless absolutely necessary.
Additionally, I’m talking specifically about workflows and not automations. Although similar, there are things automations can do that workflows can’t, and some things workflows can do but automations can’t.
Hi David, I am stuck on this very same issue. Please do reply if you ever find a solution for this! Unfortunately I need this to work for a morning meeting.
Right now, I’m using the free version of Workflow Blocks: Formula by SpicyTab. It isn’t exactly what I want, but it is pretty close to it.
You kind of have to play around with it, and you can’t always get what you want. For example, I can’t do EDATE on it, which is quite frustrating. Additionally, I cannot do multifunctions in one go. I have to keep playing with it until I get it right.
However, for now, it is working for as much as I can stretch it.
