Any update on this issue? Would be very helpful if we have a complete and clean view of the gantt chart in pdf or ppt. Really needed for reports!
Hello Mondays,
GANTT view was one of the reason we choose Monday. But today is not complete. The view online is really small and really not easy to read for big project. Moreover when we want to cell our Project manager that they can show the Gantt to client, stakeholders, and Municipality is not possible because we can not export a usefull and complete version of the Gantt.
Thank a lot for improve this option
There are some serious limitations with the Gantt export views from Monday.com - both the print PDF and Excel views. Would it be possible to add more exporting options, especially for the PDF view? For example - an option to print the entire project in PDF view, or options for the layout of the export?
The poor exporting to Excel and PDF function is becoming a real problem with my clients who are requesting that we move to MS Projects.
We cannot export to Excel without showing sub-items under headers. And the rendering of sub-items includes āundefinedā next to it.
To really provide a MS Project alternative you must be able to play with the size of the output - A0 print or longer is what we often used in MS Project to get something workable. This platform is incomplete until this is resolvedā¦manual workers in a production environment need to see plans too and in many places itās still done with paper
Canāt emphasize enough how important this is. Trying to win colleauges over to Monday who are used to Project. You win on user friendliness, but dependencies (which should be STANDARD by the way) and flexible, printable GANTT views are essential.
Agreed. All our clients need PDF. As much as Iāve been trying to encourage adoption of viewing data live via an account, some users just are not interested. Especially at the executive level.
This is a simple request. Please improve exporting options. What is the status of this, Monday?
The ability to export a Gantt that shows dependencies is a MUST
Need the ability to export to other gantt formats (MS project).
In order to be able to work efficiently with external partners.
Currently you can only export an 8.5x11 pdf and it defaults back to month view resulting in a condensed version of what youād like
Most project managers need to be able to see a full legible timeline.
Requesting the ability to print a desired timeline (days/weeks/months/etc) view with page setup options.
This feature is highly requested already by a lot of user since the export to Excel doesnāt work at all and it takes away all dependencies for instance.
@monday Please make an export to pdf with and end and start date possibleā¦
THANKS!!!
I agree, we tried to present something to our customers today and it doesnāt look professional at all with excel!
Is this something in the pipeline ? Do you have an ETA ? Thanks

I cannot comprehend how this platform doesnāt do this very basic and very essential feature⦠sigh.
Not only should it already have the feature from day dot, but they shouldāve updated it immediately after seeing this feedback over a year ago. What are they doing???!!! What good is a Ferrari with no wheels?!
Unbelievable!!
This is a pain point for our company to move forward with utilizing Monday. It would be nice to export as a pdf or image so we can print or display the entire gantt in one view. The excel view is complete garbage. Is there any update to getting this feature?
This is a pain point for our agency as well. We really need the ability to export as a PDF or image and display the whole Gantt chart. It would also be helpful to be able to increase the font sizes of the items prior to the export. We meet frequently with parties where displaying the online gantt isnāt possible or appropriate. This has the potential to limit adoption of Monday.com within our organization - which is a shame as the platform has potential to address many of our use cases.
This is a huge pain point for our small consulting business. All clients request reports in PDF. Itās the current convention. Not having it impacts our relationship when doing executive reporting.
So this post has been written in 2021, almost 3 years ago and there still hasnāt been found a fix? Compaired to all the different features Monday.com is capable of showing, how is an export with dependencies not a thing yet?
Have anyone head back from the development team at all?
If I new it would take 3 years to fix a simple printing of a Gantt chart there is no way I would have recommended this product to our organization. Really is terrible.
