Help Needed: Linking Low-Level Board Items with Portfolio Project Line Items via Automation

Hi Monday Experts,

I hope you’re all doing well!

I’m currently using a Monday portfolio solution and have set up automation to create a board from a template. While the board is being created successfully, I’ve noticed that the low-level board items are not linking automatically with the portfolio project line items.

This functionality used to work seamlessly in the past—any newly created items would connect automatically with the corresponding portfolio project.

Is there something I might be overlooking or missing in the setup? I’ve attached screenshots for your reference to better illustrate the issue.
