Help with automation which links column on one board with column on another board

Hi all - here is what I’m trying to do:

  • I have a People column in my Clients board
  • I have mirrored that column in my Projects board
  • When I set a date in the Reminder column in my Projects board, I want the person in the mirrored People column in my Projects board (or Client board if that’s the way it has to be, its the same thing) to be notified.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to do it. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

Hi @MattRWA - mirrored columns with stock monday automations are somewhat limited. They are always adding more capabilities but most are not supported at this time.

The best way to make this work would be to cast this mirrored column to a local column utilizing an app such as General Caster or Column Magic.
