I have a board with multiple forms on it. It is very time consuming when setting up boards like this, because when I create a new form, it auto displays all the columns already in the board, and I have to go in and “hide question” on each and every question in the form. It would be very convenient for me to either:
a) select multiple questions at one time and easily toggle them to “hide”
b) have the option when creating a new form to import the current columns on the board as questions, or start blank and create new questions/columns
Hi! From what I can tell, Monday Forms don’t have a bulk hide option or the ability to start with a blank form versus pre-populated board columns.
Here are some tips and potenital workarounds you can try:
1. Use “Duplicate Form” as a Template
If you often need similar forms with most questions hidden, try this approach:
Create one “master form” with all the unnecessary questions hidden and your preferred setup complete.
When you need a new form, duplicate the form instead of creating from scratch.
Then, just tweak the visible questions—this can save a lot of time.
2. Use a Dedicated “Form Board”
Another workflow is to create a separate board just for form submissions:
Add only the columns that should appear as questions.
Build your form(s) there, so you’re not hiding dozens of extra columns.
Then use automations or connected boards/mirror columns to send or sync the data into your main board.
3. Feature Request: Bulk Hide & Blank Forms
Your idea is fantastic and aligns with many user requests I’ve heard:
Option A: Multi-select columns in the form builder to “hide” all at once.
Option B: Choose between “Start with all board columns” or “Start blank” when creating a new form.
I’d recommend submitting this to the Monday.com Feature Requests (or upvoting if someone’s already suggested it) because it’s the type of UX improvement they’re actively considering.
