How to lock the navigation pane?

I have seen that there is a < symbol on the top right corner of the navigation pane to collapse it in the left side of the screen, thus leaving more space for visualising boards, but then when I pass with the mouse pointer around the left border of the screen the navigation pane automatically shows again and it collapse again automatically when I leave that area of the screen. That is a bit distracting.

Is there a way to lock the navigation pane collapsed?
