Hi all! I’m a pretty new Monday.com use and just set myself up with EasyMails. I’m hoping to use this to send personalized versions of generic emails (not doing mass email campaigns here). I created several templates, and my question is: when I’m getting ready to use the template to send to any given contact, is there a way to customize the text of the template? For instance, I’d like to add a seasonal greeting (eg, “I hope your [spring/summer/fall] is treating you well”), or personalize the text on a case-by-case basis. Can this be done?
Hello @MozyBear
Welcome to monday.com and EasyMails — great to see you exploring personalized email options!
Yes, you can absolutely customize the text in your templates when sending out emails, and dynamic merge tags are a great way to do that. Merge tags (also called dynamic fields) allow you to automatically pull in specific data from your monday.com board into the email — like the contact’s name, company, or even custom columns you’ve created.
For example, you could include a greeting like: “Hi {{First Name}}, I hope your {{Season}} is going well!”
As long as you have columns named “First Name” and “Season” on your board, EasyMails will automatically insert the correct values for each recipient.
And don’t worry — before sending, you can still manually tweak the email for even more personalization on a case-by-case basis. Just select the template, make any edits you’d like in the email editor, and send it off!
