Is anyone sending emails via workflows? We are moving over to it to help with automation oversight and scalability but the features are more limited than automated emails which is frustrating.
Email sender comes through without the name associated with their email account or the email domain.
No email signature (I added this to the text body)
Times pulled from an item column come through funky with no AM or PM
Doesn’t post an update on the item when the email is sent (set up a workaround to bcc but it doesn’t show the email sender or details of when the email was sent).
Would love to hear of any workarounds that other people have found to make the email format better!
Hey @bracharich I am having the same issues , particularly with regards to no update/activity of the email being recorded. I’ll try your bcc trick (thanks).
And having no ability to format the email text is disappointing.
Yup! I was at Elevate and there were a group of people discussing the need for formatting emails without an add-on app and the product team shared that it is on the roadmap as they recognize that is a basic need. So hopefully we see that come through soon!
hi @bracharich, yeah, that’s a super common pain point with monday’s built-in email workflows - formatting and tracking are pretty limited
You might want to try Email to Tasks for monday.com. It gives you full control over how emails are sent (with proper sender names, signatures, and formatting), and every sent/received email shows up right inside the item as an update, so no more BCC workarounds.
Huge time-saver if you’re managing lots of automated or client-facing emails.
