Ability to adjust an Item status for only a few subitems

When creating an item, with set 10 subitems.
We want to change the top level status when subitem status of 5 of the subitems changes.

Our Mirror Item Multiple Boards app allows you to add the same item and subitem on multiple boards and keep them in sync.
We can build a custom automation based on your particular workflow so that the main item status changes only when the atleast 5 of the subitems have their status changed.

Hi Kellie, welcome to the community! 
That’s a great idea - controlling the parent item’s status based only on certain subitems would definitely be useful. At the moment, this type of selective logic isn’t directly supported through automations.
What can help, though, is our Time in Status for monday.com app. It allows you to see exactly how long each subitem (or selected group of subitems) stays in a given status, and when those changes occur. While it won’t automatically update the parent item for you, it gives you much more visibility into progress across key subitems.
I’ll also note your suggestion as valuable feedback for future automation improvements.
