Need assistance and advice on how to best automate and create this board, previously our leave tracker as seen below
Week
Day
Date
Team (below Team was team member name)
How can I create this as a board in monday.com ?
What automations can I create to:
Autopopulate the dates for the year monday-friday
Autopopulate Day of the year
Send a notification once leave is submitted for approval
Count the number of days each person is taking
Thanks

Hi Kirsten,
Take a look at the board template called Time off request, it already does part of it with the necessary automations.
Not sure what you mean by #1 and #2. You want all the days of the year (minus the week-ends) as items of your board? The above mentioned template will give you a different approach that may be more suitable… You judge.
What if we could break free of the Formula column? and write formulas that update any type of columns? What if a formula could update multiple columns at once? This is possible with the Advanced Formula Booster app.
Thanks @GCavin this helps, I will definitely check this out I think it may be beneficial! I suppose for questions 1 & 2 you can see the 2nd and 3rd column on the excel usually you can drag and it auto populates (Monday-Friday) and I was wondering if that was available on monday.com

No, there is nothing like this, although you could import your Excel spreadsheet into your board, if you decide that you want to go that route. But I encourage you to look at other approaches which may be better suited for monday.
Good luck!
Want to get rid of the formula column? and write formulas that support multiple lines, variables and can update various columns at once? Take a look at the Advanced Formula Booster at https://mdboosters.com*
Although there is not a way for Monday to display the date of the week like you have in your excel spreadsheet, we have a similar board and utilize the calendar view to accomplish this. This allows us to quickly look at what day(s) someone is off. Not sure if this is something that could be helpful for you!
If you haven’t used the calendar view before and have questions about setting it up or what this may look like, the documentation below has pictures/explanations.
