As an example, let’s say I have “project A” in my team’s workspace.
However, another team may also be working on “project A” in their team workspace.
I’d like to know if it’s possible to link these two different project boards between different workspaces so that, if I change the status of an item, it’s automatically changed in the other team’s workspace without having to add the other people to my workspace.

You can do this with the app called “Same Item Multiple Boards” OR perhaps a connected column with a mirror column to show the status. Do you have them connected currently?
If you have at least one user that has access to both boards, you can add a connect column board, connect the two items, and add the mirror column to both boards. Make sure the connect board column is set to “two-way connection.”
On both boards, create automations with the template that when mirror column changes to x, change column/status to x.
