Hi there!
I’m checking out the suitability of Monday.com for my team’s use case, so I thought I’d just ask on this forum if this type of setup could work.
First, we’re a team that has partners rather than customers. We’re the customers, if you will. It’s a topsy-turvy way to use a CRM system, but our partnerships create value for both us and our partners so none of the vendor management tools we’ve seen so far are what we need. Monday.com looks like it might be flexible enough to work in our ecosystem.
My team often runs RFPs, sometimes with brand new partners, sometimes with existing partners, sometimes with a mix of both, and sometimes with just one new/existing partner.
What I’d like to do is create a project for each new RFP, and link accounts to the RFP. Even better would be to link opportunities in each account to the project. So, if the RFP was called “Launch ad campaign in Burkina Faso”, and we asked Partner A, Partner B, and potential new Partner C to submit proposals, we’d have an opportunity in each account with this name where we’d collect the proposals, but then a Project page where we could see an overview of all the proposals. The overall project page is then where various teams could look to compare the pricing submitted by the partners, as well as the answers they provide to our RFP questions. The Partner Managers can also access each Opportunity separately to make notes about the individual submissions from each Partner, manage communications with the Partner, and mark whether the Partner is moved forward for further consideration for the RFP or not.
Is this something that we could flex Monday.com to do, do you reckon?
I think the main thing is whether I could link a Project to multiple Opportunities in multiple Accounts.
