Map tags and other basic data from Monday.com to Mailchimp

I use Monday.com to track several large groups of contacts across different boards. I’ve set up the Monday<>Mailchimp integration where whenever I add a new email address to a Monday.com board, it gets subscribed to a specific Mailchimp list. However, the only data fed across is the email address.

As well as adding basic data like first and last name, I’d love to be able to automatically map tags from Monday.com to Mailchimp to help me keep track of these audiences – currently, I have to log into Mailchimp and manually add this data. Is there any chance that these features are in the pipeline for Monday.com? Thanks!

Hey @dasha

We developed an app called Mailchimp Integration Plus that provides a robust integration with Mailchimp. Amongst other capabilities, it allows to do full mapping of fields from monday to Mailchimp, including custom fields for merge tags. Here’s an example →

You can find it in the monday.com marketplace in the platform or here - monday.com: Apps Marketplace

Hope that helps!

While the current Monday.com and Mailchimp integration allows syncing email addresses, tag mapping is not directly supported. However, you can explore third-party automation tools like Integromat to create custom workflows that include tag synchronization between the platforms. destiny card

Hi @dasha,

If you’re still looking for another solution on this, you can now integrate Mailchimp into monday using the Data Importer monday app.

A few things you can do with Mailchimp using Data Importer:

  • Bulk import your entire contact list from an audience.
  • Import various contact fields (e.g. name, email, status & custom merge fields) and stats (e.g. average open rate)
  • Schedule imports to keep your monday board in sync when new contacts are added to Mailchimp.

I’ve also created a step-by-step tutorial for more details on how to import Mailchimp contacts
