There are other discussions about integrations with other third party email providers, like MailChimp (see thread here and how the integrations are very lacking. I explore integrating with MailChimp myself and found it very weak (you can basically only pass through email address, which makes it useless).
I looked into some other email platforms, like MailerLite, and while some things can be done with Zapier to make it more usable, the sheer number of Zaps needed and the complexity of how we are using Monday as a CRM makes that route impractical… and the system would be bound to break where we’d have automations in Monday, many Zaps in Zapier, and many automations in MailerLite, for example.
Has anyone found a practical solution for integrating Monday and a third-party email platform?
Also, I know Monday has some email functionality, and we’ll use some of it, but we still need a third party platform.
Curious if you got anywhere with this. I have the same issue and have made zero progress.
We already used Klaviyo for email marketing because it has some specific functionality that MailChimp doesn’t have (plus, as you mention, the MC/Monday integration is near useless). I got sold on using Zapier to integrate Monday with Klaviyo. I put in a lot of time buildign zaps. My integrations tested perfectly but then never actually worked in real life. I got nowhere with Monday or Zapier support (each pointed me to the other for help).
Long story short, I am still wondering if there is a truly useful Monday/eMail marketing platform integration solution.
You can use EasyMails app, you can use drag and drop template designer, easily upload files directly from your board column, and seamlessly integrate your board data into your email content.
It’s like having MailService inside monday .com, You can use SMTP of different platform to Connect.
We developed an app called Mailchimp Integration Plus that provides a robust integration with Mailchimp. Amongst other capabilities, it allows to do full mapping of fields from monday to Mailchimp, including custom fields for merge tags. Here’s an example →
will this provide the ability to automatically send a “daily progress report” to an external client? example: we have a board for each project where our foremans enters the teams daily progress and each day i want to automatically send the exact updates to our clients. for the life of me, i dont understand why monday doesnt have this feature…its basic software development.
Integration of Monday.com with a third-party email platform,
We can set up Make.com to create seamless workflows that bridge Monday.com and your preferred email service. This solution minimizes reliance on numerous Zaps and prevents potential automation breakdowns by centralizing the automation process.

Mapping out essential email data points between Monday.com and the chosen email service.
Setting up automated workflows in Make.com to handle data transfer, ensuring all necessary information is synced in real-time.
Testing and monitoring the workflows to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Some great options already posted above, if you’re still looking for another solution on this, you can now integrate Mailchimp into monday using the Data Importer monday app.
A few things you can do with Mailchimp using Data Importer:
Bulk import your entire contact list from an audience.
Import various contact fields (e.g. name, email, status, custom merge fields and more) plus stats (e.g. average open rate)
Schedule imports to keep your monday board in sync when new contacts are added to Mailchimp.
I’ve also created a step-by-step tutorial for more details on how to import Mailchimp contacts
Note this is only for pulling mailchimp contacts into monday, not sending emails from monday. Happy to answer any questions on this.
When it comes to integrating Monday.com with third-party email platforms, there are generally three routes to consider:
Generic integration platforms like Zapier or Make (Integromat)
These offer flexibility, but as you’ve found, they can become overly complex fast — especially if you’re using Monday as your CRM and need multiple touchpoints synced. It’s powerful, but maintaining a web of Zaps can turn into a headache.
Custom API integrations
If you have development resources, this gives you full control and reliability — but it’s time-consuming and expensive to build and maintain, especially as platforms update their APIs.
Specialized integration tools like Outfunnel
These are purpose-built to connect CRMs (like Monday) with marketing tools. Outfunnel, for example, focuses specifically on syncing contacts and engagement data between CRMs and email tools like Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, and others — and we’re actively researching building a Monday.com integration due to growing interest from users like you.
We’ve seen a lot of demand for a simple, reliable way to bridge Monday and marketing tools without patching together 10 different Zaps. So if anyone here is also struggling with this, feel free to chime in — the more input we get, the better we can prioritize this!
Happy to keep you posted as we make progress on this.
