I want to change the position of an item ‘within’ a group after the status changes, NOT move it out of the group (see example below.)
ie:
Group A: before status change
item 1 - status=to do
item 2 - status=to do
item 3 - status=to do
Status changes
item 1 - status= complete
Group A: after status change
item 2 - status=to do
item 3 - status=to do
item 1 - status=complete

Hi @sorigami,
Would setting up a board view with a saved “Sort” work for you? This way you can set the sort by Status (Ascending or Descending) which is going to be based off of the order of your status in the column.
Here are some screenshots to show how this would work. The main thing you will need to do is click and drag the statuses in the order in which you went them to be sorted, and then add the “Sort by Status” to a board and once you update the status the items will reorganize based on that sort.
