Outlook integration & automation idea/suggestion needed

Hi there - I currently have an Outlook integration set up where when someone emails a certain email address it automatically creates an item in my board.

Is there a way to add to this integration so that when the email is received, the item is created and it pulls information such as the name of the requestor and add attachments from the email to the update section?

I am an Microsoft365 solution architect, here is how we can achieve this using Power Automate (comes as part of Microsoft 365 subscription).

  • Create an power automate flow that can listen to mailbox (user or shared mailbox)
  • Extract key information from email.
  • Create an HTTP Request (requires power automate premium) that will submit the data into monday.com using GraphQL mutation request.

Yeah, the native Outlook → monday integration is pretty limited. If you want incoming emails to create items with sender info and attachments automatically added, check out Email to Tasks for monday.com . It’s built exactly for that - lets you log gmail emails (and their files) straight into your boards without losing any context. :rocket:
