If you’re interested in integrating with 3rd party system, we encourage you to look into Zapier or Make - the 3rd party tools to choose would be dependent on the payment gateway software you’re using

Our team actually have been working on a payment integration for Monday that might be what you’re looking for.
It allows you to handle payments (Stripe/PayPal/Authorize net) directly within Monday, there is a ability to create payment forms or invoices.

I ended up creating a custom form with status updates and automations tied to a board, then handled payments using an external link. Not perfect, but works fine for now.
I’ve heard good things about Antom for setups like that, especially if you’re trying to connect project tools with international payment gateways. Someone I worked with used it to simplify complex payment setups for their cross-border transactions, and they said it cut down a lot of manual work. I’ve been thinking about testing it myself since it seems to handle different currencies and providers without needing a bunch of separate integrations.
