At the moment there is no option to sort in the workload view, the sorting is based on the item-creation timestamp. With a long list of employees or items the overview becomes somewhat messy and it can be difficult to find an item/person. So all users are resorted to using the person/filter function in this view, making the overview dissapear. I think it would be nice to have the option to sort this view to create a better experience:
