What the best way people have found to integrate Powerpoint and use it to present Monday information
Hi @craig
Welcome to the community! One way to do this is to screen scrape and put the board as a picture in your Powerpoint but I guess that is not what you’re after. In monday you can share any board view, just click the 3 dots next to the view name and click share. You now will see this popup
When you click “Start” a shareable link will be shown which can be copied. If you paste that link in your webbrowser you will see a read only view of your board.
How to get this in Powerpoint is step 2 of the story. Powerpoint does not do this out-of-the-box, but you can install Microsoft addin as explained here Embedding a Live Website into a PowerPoint Slide - YouTube
Unfortunately, many organizations my included don’t allow add-ins to be installed. This seems like a feature that would be helpful to share results. Maybe a simple fix is to look into the export to PDF feature or an export to jpg option. As it is, it is more like a screen grab instead of a printout.
For those who are able to use add-ins/apps from marketplace, there’s an app called Board to Presentation that might be worth trying. It lets you export your monday.com board data into PowerPoint presentation - tables, charts, and graphs—ideal for sharing results in a clean, visual way.
You can find more information here: Export boards to presentations! (tables, charts, graphs)
You can use our app Build My Docs - monday.com marketplace which enables you to generate PPTX/PDF from Item Data onto a PPTX template.
You can copy Columns, Images, and subitems table onto the PPT.
The data copied over will follow the font style, design, and positioning of the original PPTX.
Here’s the example template you may use → PPTX Template
Make sure to replace the “Merge Values“ with the exact values for each column, subitem table from the settings section of our app, which is unique to each board.
