Printing a view to pdf

I’ve set up a “Participant Profile” view that can be accessed by clicking the little arrows next to each item in my database (of participants). This view allows me to see everything about that participant in a more readable version than scrolling across columns in a database. I also use mirrored columns from the Projects Database to see the details of their project in this view. I’d like to be able to print this view as a PDF so that I can send a complete picture of the participant to colleagues.

Hi @CarlyPlanC

You can use the app DocExport PDF Generator to create a PDF in your own design including information from your board including mirror and connect columns.

If you send us a screenshot of your board structure, we can send you more detailed instructions: support@docexport.com

Here’s a quick video tutorial of how to set DocExport up. It’s for the use case ‘Event Ticket’, but it’s a similar use case with the same logic:

That “Participant Profile” view sounds like a great way to organize data — and yes, it makes total sense to want to print or export that view as a PDF to share a comprehensive snapshot.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: Unfortunately, monday.com’s native item card or view doesn’t currently offer a built-in “Export to PDF” button for item views.

:white_check_mark: But here’s a great solution: DocCreate :page_facing_up::sparkles:

With DocCreate, you can:

  • Design a custom PDF template that pulls in all item data, including mirrored columns
  • Automatically generate a clean, branded PDF of each item (e.g., a participant profile)
  • Save that PDF directly in a file column for easy sharing and archiving
  • Trigger the PDF generation manually (with a button) or automatically (via automation) :radio_button::gear:
  • Even send the PDF via email to colleagues instantly :e_mail:

You’ll no longer have to manually screenshot or copy info — the PDF can look just like your profile view but styled your way.

Yes, this is possible with The PDF Maker (https://app.thepdfmaker.com).

With The PDF Maker, you can create a customized PDF template that pulls in data from your “Participant Profile” view — including mirrored columns, text, dates, or any custom fields. You have full control over the layout and content through a simple drag-and-drop editor.

Once set up, every time a new entry is created or updated, a PDF can be automatically generated using your template. You can also include headers, titles, and dynamic data to create a clean, shareable report for each participant.
