Provide an Automation notification due to idle time of an item having no updates (specifically when a certain status is selected) (e.g. if status is set to “On Hold” and no updates have be posted in 2 weeks, notify ______).

I feel like you have some options here to find a suitable workaround for the time being. First thing that came to mind, was an automation to let someone know if we’re in the ''On Hold" status for too long. eg:
And while that doesn’t specifically cover updates, there are some native updates based recipes you may be able to make use of, like these:
There are more, just depends on what will work for your team.
