Restrict guests ability to edit item name

Hi all,

Wondering if it is possible to restrict a guest from editing the name of an item they are assigned to, but to still be able to edit columns within this item?

I can change permissions to allow them to only add updates, which means they can’t change the item name, but this also means they can’t edit other columns.

Any help would be really appreciated

Hey there! Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to just limit the guests’ naming capabilities for the item.

However, you could add a Text Column and title it “Task Name” or whatever feels relevant, and apply column editing permissions to it so that nobody can edit the name in that column.

This way you can also keep an eye on the board to see if anyone made changes to the item name since you can see what the name is supposed to be in the Text Column. :wink:
