It seems over the weekend the decision was made to no longer allow line break formatting in the Long Text columns. I would like to get this “feature” added back in.
For context, we use this column to show any high level updates pertaining to the campaign. Here was the old/desired formatting.
I know past 2-3 lines it wouldn’t show anyway, but here is how the column behaves now with no changes to the text in the edit
I chatted with support this morning and it seems this change was intentional by the dev team. It honestly feels like a step backward to me.
I totally agree with you on this. I am using Docugent to generate a document including a longtext column for Product Description, and it looks idiot without line breaks.
Nope. Sadly I don’t think this issue is of any concern to Monday. This thread and another I was involved in about formatting long text columns have gotten no response from the team.
Love to bring this back to the top of voting to turn back on. We really need it. I get you can hover over the column and it will display the hard returns. But if you have the new wrap text feature turned on - it won’t show them anymore.
