Right to left planning using dependencies

Hi,

I’d like to use Monday.Com Projects and dependencies to plan ‘right to left’.

The use case is that we have committed to a customer to deliver a project by a certain date and so I need to work backwards to see when we need to start work. So if I want to deliver on 30th November 2025 and my durations total 6 months, I need to start on the 30th of May.

I have a number of tasks, linked ‘Finish to Start’. I want to be able to set a date for the final task, and then have Monday to update the dates for the previous tasks.

Me too! I believe this is one of the advanced dependency features, and uses dependency types. https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007402599-Dependencies-on-monday-com

The feature is not turned on for our account - it’s still in beta. My team is considering whether we should ask for it to be activated now or wait until it is fully supported.
