Also need the conditional formatting to be able to apply to the whole board at once instead of each column separately - it’s a pain to reformat every column separately just to get all the numbers less than zero to show red.
My team relies a lot on color, and consistency throughout views. Conditional Coloring feels very gimped to us, as you can’t keep it consistent across views, and can’t apply it to the Main Table view. I basically want to be able to turn Formulas into a brightly colored Status column indicator, and that’s not possible. Same with Multi-select dropdowns.
I’ve been working for days trying to keep the conditional colors on the Main Board. I wish I had known ahead of time. I definitely need this functionality.
I agree completely. We avoid creating extra views for client-facing boards to minimize confusion. If it were possible to hide the main view, that would also solve this issue for us too.
If you haven’t already, please upvote for this feature, so the monday product team will prioritize it.
Hi everyone! Amy here from the monday.com team Thank you so much for your feedback around the need for this feature, we hear you!
At this time, this feature isn’t on our long-term roadmap, as we’re currently focused on other high-impact priorities that are further along in development. That said, we know this is important to lots of our community, so we’ll continue to evaluate it as we plan ahead.
We’re always listening, and we’ll make sure to share any updates here if anything changes!
Hello everyone! We really appreciate your continued feedback. We will not be prioritizing this feature on our long-term roadmap. The Main Table on a board serves as the database. Therefore, we intend to maintain the Main Table as a “clean” view for users to reference. Any custom visualization edits or filters can be saved as a new board view, as many users have referenced in this thread.
We encourage you to upvote this existing feature request, “Hide option for Main Table View,” which may address this feature request. It is under strong consideration for the second half of this year. Thank you all for being a part of optimizing the monday.com platform!
While it doesn’t allow saving conditional coloring or filters to the main view, it does allow hiding it, and with the ability to unpin the main table and pin other views on the board, you can achieve a similar goal to the one described in this discussion
