Hi, unfortunately not, but I just hope that if enough people complain about it they would listen to the community and implement it
Yes, please make searching updates an added feature, maybe have it as a slider button to enable/disable next to the search field?
Not including updates in search caused me to miss an item.
Just checked Search Everything - All, and it’s not included in the results. It’s even missing when searching Updates only.
This would be an excellent in-board function. The ‘search everything’ function can be filtered to updates, but our infrastructure has hundreds of boards. Within a single board, we would immensely benefit from being able to go to activity–>updates and then search for keyword(s) there. Perhaps in quotes or separated by commas to search for multiple? This would really help when boards have been active for weeks/months. Thanks!
Agreed - this functionality would be extremely helpful to more quickly locate comments/conversations on a given board.
This is a very interesting post, I found it extreamly hard to search things on Monday.
I would love the ability for my team to be able to search a board and have it search through the update tabs including info boxes for the search criteria. This is our company’s #1 frustration when using monday.com
Indeed an huge issue that a decent search functionality is still not present.
We need a search option that inspect the update field of the board you are in.
The absence of a good search leads to errors, because cards can not be found.
Bizarre that this is not possible after more then 4 years of requesting for such a feature.
This Monday is a nightmare to work with
Are there any updates on this and whether it will be included in the product roadmap? This functionality seems essential, and its absence is very frustrating.
Hello Soroh,
What I recommend can serve as a workaround. There’ the Board Email Reports app that provides the following types of reports.
On a board/project level:
- New and updated tasks
- Status updates
- Budget, Costs, Revenue changes
- Timeline and deadline overdue
- Time Tracking changes
On an item/task level:
- Updates by a specific employee
- Updates mentioning a specific employee
- Updates containing attachments
- Status updates
- Last updates
You need the second set of automations that aggregates item updates over a specific period of time in the automation rule and sends the xls-report to any people you mention in the rule (no guest access needed!).
This is an example of a report that consolidates item updates by a specific person:
The message in my inbox with xls-attachment where you can find updates details:
You can test the app and check if it works for you. I hope you’ll find it helpful. Also, our team can make custom automation for your case in terms of item updates, just reach out to us.
