Stacked Bar Chart not Adding Correctly

I’m looking to create a simple Stacked Bar Chart. The X Axis (the Bars) represent each group. The value of the bar is the Total Estimated Effort.

I want to split the individual bars (ie. stack them) by the status. However, when I drag Status (or any field) into the “Stack By” section, the values change. For example, a Group with 24.5 Hours becomes 147 hours even though it only has one status so far. It should still say 24.5!?

Any advice would be appreciated.
