It would be extremely helpful if you could type in the start and end date for the timeline column as well as have the option to select it from the calendar. It would also be great if the first date you had to select was the start date and not the end date.

You can select either Start or End Date depending on which arrow you click.

See my Timeline Column when i hover with the mouse without clicking. There are no arrows.

Regrettably Monday.com has changed the design and removed the arrows without asking end users what they wanted or formally notifying anyone.
This change adds no benefits that I can see but makes it harder to set the end date. I would like to see it changed back to the arrows ASAP.
Monday.com don’t seem to be listening.
Please add your vote to the following post to get this change reversed or at least a preference added for those who want the arrows.

Has there been any activity on this lately?
I just had to go through a huge project board that I underestimated timelines and deadlines for. It would have been a lot simpler to either be able to just change the end date or to be able to type in the range.
Also, if the calendar view for date selection is to remain the only way to enter dates, a quicker way to enter a day months away would be very helpful. A simple way to achieve this is to enable a month dropdown similar to the year dropdown that is already present.
