Unsubscribe form submitters

We’ve set up a form for raising tickets that is accessible to both monday users and those without accounts. For the monday users, they’re being auto-subscribed/email notified to updates on their tickets, but we don’t actually want them getting emails with our team chatter. Is there a way to turn off notifications to the submitter from the start?

Hi Steph,

Welcome to the Monday community!

It might be worth considering turning off most inbuilt Monday notifications to avoid over-notification and only keep necessary ones
Also you could set up specific notifications through automations based on conditions (like only notifying when the user is mentioned or assigned), you could minimize unnecessary email notifications from the start.

You can disable notifications for ticket submitters by adjusting the notification settings in your ticketing system. Check the settings for the form to see if there’s an option to turn off email notifications for internal team updates.

Thanks for the suggestions. These users have other existing Monday boards for their teams where they do need the notifications for their own team’s purposes. I can’t globally turn off their notifications without interrupting their team’s workflows.

The problem is specific to my team’s board that we use for logging and tracking issues. We do want them to log issues/items through the form, but we do NOT want them subscribed to those items and seeing our updates as we work through the issue. They are getting email updates even when there isn’t an automation set up to do that and they aren’t mentioned in the update or assigned to the item - it’s simply because they submitted an issue through the form and have been automatically subscribed to it.
