As many people here ask, giving their certain examples.
The data on Mirror columns can vary from date to number.
However, it is impossible to build the automation using Mirror column, as automations recipes only involve certain column type.

If a project’s start date (represented as a timeline column) begins, I am hoping for an automation to move the item to the “Active Projects” group of my Master Board. There is an existing recipe that would do this, however, since the column in question is a mirror column, I cannot use the recipe.

My own example:
I have two connected boards. I have a mirror column with a summary of (Sales Volume) data linked to a salesperson. Once the sales volume is greater than X, I want status for this sales person to change. There is an existing recipe " When “number” is greater than XYZ, status changes to…". But i cannot use it as automation recognize certain column type to make it work.
Monday.com is great as you can share lots of data without double entering it which is a time saver, but there is no ability ti use this mirroring data as a part of automations.
