Using automations to link an item in one board with a subitem in another

Hello

I am facing an issue with automatically linking two boards, where the structure does not align 100 %. On one board we use subitems to sort tasks, and on the other we use the primary items.

What I want to do is use this automation to automatically create a main item in the other board, and link it to a subitem on the current board:

Example: When subitem Status 1 changes to Ready create an item in other board and connect to this board with subitem column.

However, when I set up the automation I only get to pick from columns on the primary items - not the subitem.

This seems like an arbitrary gap in the automation’s logic, in my opinion. Is this something that is being looked at?
