"View history" from Monday Doc on board level

Hi all,

as a Monday user who tracks project status in Monday, I want to observe changes made in a board or in a widget over the project timeline. The benefit for us is, that we can see the project status a month, 3 months or a year ago. For new project managers, this would allow to better understand the past project progress and certain impediments which the project experienced.

Example: In Monday Doc, as a user, I can track any manual changes via “version history” and see who changed the content. This is especially helpful, when I ask project managers to update their project report. Unfortunately, Monday doc. is not very automation friendly and requires a lot of manual input.

Do you know of other solution similar to “version history”, which allows me to apply a timeline and pull up a project status from the past?

Hi @Steff , I’m not sure if this helps you, You can go to an individual item and click the activity log tab to see the history at an item level. You can then filter it to the status and export it.

Hello @Steff ,
The Board Email Reports app can help you with this problem.
There are reports on a board and item level. Board level reports include:

  1. New and updated tasks
  2. Status updates
  3. Budget, Costs, Revenue changes
  4. Timeline and deadline overdue
  5. Time Tracking changes

When you set up an automated report, for example, on Number column changes, you will get a summary of changes with a detailed xls-report as an attachment:

It helps you see the key project changes over the time instead of digging through the activity log to consolidate those changes.
The best part is that you don’t need your stakeholders as guests. Just add their emails into the automation rule.

You can try out the app for free and check if it works for you.
