When activity created in emails & activities-automation

I am experimenting with this feature related to the CRM module. In the Sales activities, I have one Connect Boards column that is both connected to Deals, Contacts and Organizations. So if I am creating an activity in the Organization card, it creates an item in Sales Activities, in the Connect Boards column as an organization. If I am creating an activity in the Contacts card, same thing, it populates the Connect boards column as a contact.

However, I want to have Connect board columns in the activities, one for each, organization, deal and contact. Not just one single column that will display either the deal, organizationb or contact as a source? Is this doable?

If I am understanding correctly, this is certainly doable!

Firstly, you will want to set up a connect board column in the Deals, Contacts and Orgs board - ensuring that you have selected the two-way sync option.

This will automatically set up a seperate connect board column in the Activity board, specific to those 3 boards (while ensuring they’re synced 2-ways). If you don’t want the connect boards column existing in the boards later down the track, you can go ahead and hide them!

From there, you will need to instead set up the following recipe in each of the board (Deals, Sales + Org board), selecting the specific connect board column for each board in the recipe:

This way, you will be able to connect each activity to the specific board through the individual connect board columns.
