Why does an automation keeping repeating

I have set up a number of automations based on a change of status ie when a status changes to something and another status is something else, then create an item in another board and connect the boards.

What I end up getting sometimes is a continuous loop of the item appearing as a new pulse in the other board every 15 seconds as the automation keeps repeating.

How do I stop this?
