Widget - Blank Text

Due to the limitations on what can be automated in Monday, it makes project management capabilities limited and forces everyone to try to work in the same way.
Each project is different and each executive over requested will be different.

Our team have a need to automate or import information from multiple places in the Main table to a “Blank” widget, under a separate tab.

Examples:

  • Import updates or talking points from specific “conversation bubbles” into a “Blank” widget.
  • Automate importing text into a “Blank” widget based on the status of an action item.

I believe the goal of project management is to standardize our processes and make them more efficient for the team. While it’s true that Monday.com has certain limitations, it’s worth considering whether processes that differ significantly should be kept on the same board or in the same folder.

As a project manager, I recommend that each project have its own separate board. If you need to reference data from other processes, you can utilize mirror columns to keep everything interconnected without cluttering the original boards.

Additionally, Monday.com supports third-party automation tools, which can be incredibly helpful if certain tasks aren’t achievable within Monday.com alone.

Thank you, more boards are not the answer for this one. We already have too many boards. And the third-party automations are not an option for us right now as well.
