We have connected boards (Board A & Board B).
These are connected boards, which have mirrored columns.
Simply put, board A is our general board with active leads.
Board B is the leads we want to contact on changing SAAS platform for the sales.
If status changes to ‘shopped collaboration’ in Board A, the client should also be moved to another group in Board B.
I got to the point of mirroring the score from Board A to Board B, but apparently we cannot automate in Board B based on the mirrored value from Board A?
The mirrored column is not showing at the “When status changes to something” automation, which, according to me, it should.
Hey Jasper, I’m happy to discuss any possibilities for this workflow with you! To start, I do want to double-check that I’ve got a clear picture of what you’re aiming to accomplish.
So, just to confirm, are you thinking that when the Mirror Status Column on Board B is updated, you’d like the item on Board B to be moved to a different group on the same board? Am I on the right track with this?
You need to specifically go to “Templates” at the top of the automation center, and on the left choose the “Mirror” category to get the automations that can trigger from a mirror status change.
Hey @JasperDemeurie
We’ve developed an app called Connected Boards Automations. Which allows to run robust automations on connected boards, here’s how it can be used in this case →
It sounds like you’re trying to automate status changes between mirrored columns on connected boards. Since automations don’t currently support actions based on mirrored columns, a potential workaround could be using custom integrations or third-party tools to monitor and trigger updates between boards. You might also want to check if there are updates or feature requests for this functionality in the platform’s roadmap.
@malia.monday thank you for your reply.
Both of the automations mentioned here by Connected Boards are exactly the ones needed (and according to me should be in Monday by default)
