Add the ability to update a status column on a high-level board based on the most recent status column change on a low-level board.

Use Case:
You have multiple low-level boards that track individual customer implementations. These boards are composed of meetings, and as meetings are completed, new milestones are met and recorded using a status column.

You also have a high-level board with a row for each low-level customer implementation board. This high-level board tracks the overall status of all implementations and includes a column for the most recent milestone.

It would be highly beneficial to automatically update the “recent milestone” column on the high-level board based on the most recent milestone status from the corresponding low-level board.

Also want this! I think this links well to a larger request where you are able to do automations with multiple connected boards linked to mirror columns. We track milestones as a status column itself on the Low level boards, and group by that milestone on our Master Board (using the Master Data app). Interested to know if there is another work around.

hi @rscott

Welcome to the community! How are those boards connected? Are you using an app for that or just connected board columns?

Have you tried putting all the relevant triggers for tracking on the main high level board and then mirroring them out to the sub boards? That way they can be updated in the sub boards and all the tracking data will live in one place.

Just the connected boards columns. Can you elaborate on what you mean by ‘app’?

“app” as in a monday marketplace app, like Rollup Multiple Boards - monday.com Marketplace

Which automation in the app would solve it?
