I’m reaching a cross-road here. Either we need to hire a specialist to help us make Monday more of a CRM, or we need to use an actual CRM.
My company does logistics, and when someone makes a request, we put the request into Monday, where both our team and contractors work on individual components of the task in order for our sales person to create a quote.
If we used a CRM, we’d have to duplicate this stuff into Monday, and have a constant feed populating the details both on the CRM and Monday so everyone is kept up to date.
Alternatively, we can just stick with Monday.
The problem with Monday, it’s lacking all the feature that make a CRM more than just an Excel sheet.
Ability to schedule follow up emails
Ability to assign customers to workflows based on their actions
Quick emailing
Viewing all conversations within a deal
I believe the list can go on.
I’m curious if anyone is successfully running their business with Monday as their CRM, and if so, what does it look like? Are you happy with it?
Or, has anyone successfully integrated a CRM to seamlessly work with Monday? If so, what does that look like for you?
Maybe the specialists can chime in too on what they’ve built for other.
Hey there @bysam! Noy here from the monday.com team, thanks for writing in
You can definitely use monday.com as a CRM with similar functionalities to the ones that you mentioned. With this said, I wanted to point out some of our available tools that can allow you to achieve what you are looking for and to use monday.com as an efficient CRM.
For starters, you can send/receive emails directly from the platform, or track all events with a specific customer, create your own email templates, capture meeting notes, events, and more with the CommuniHub app!

You can also use recipes such as one of the below to schedule emails to be sent at certain intervals, or to have them automatically send out based off of specific triggers on your board:
