Assigning a task (floating task) to someone without any corresponding board/project

Hi…

Quick question… is it possible to assign my team member a task without the task being in any board/project? So essentially it’s an independent/floating task that has no corresponding board. Or do I need to create a board first, then create the task for him/her?

It is not possible to assign someone to a task if that task doesn’t yet exist. In order for a task to exist to assign to someone, you will need to create an item within an existing board and then assign people accordingly.
