Hello Monday Community,
Like a lot of us, I am new to Monday.com but I am enjoying exploring it countless features. One thing that I’ve been searching for but haven’t come across yet Is the ability to auto-populate a file column with a PDF when a new Item (job) is created.
I have a PDF form that we want to automatically populate our File field whenever a new Job is created.
Is this possible?
I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I can’t find that feed.

Luckily, there is such a method!
Monday has a feature that lets you set default values for all sorts of columns;
This includes PDFs! Just look for “Item default Values” from the board menu as shown below.
In the popup that follows, you can click on the file column you want to set a default file for and add it to the board.
From then on, whenever you create a new item in that board, it will come with a fresh copy of the file you uploaded.

With this now created, it turned my fillable form into a non-fillable form? Are you aware of anyway to amend this?

Unfortunately not. I haven’t really had the chance to experiment with editable pdfs in Monday, so I’m not entirely sure what the root of your issue is.
