Pulling Information from a PDF to Auto Populate in Fields

Hi - We are coaching agency and we’re using Monday to track client engagements. Is there a way to upload a client intake form from a file column (PDF) and have it auto-populate (Name, Email, Phone number, referral) etc. FROM the PDF and into the specific field? Or would this need to be done manually? Thank you!

Yes, this is possible with The PDF Maker (app.thepdfmaker.com).

While The PDF Maker focuses on generating PDFs by mapping fields from Monday and other data sources, reverse parsing a PDF to auto-populate fields in Monday is not currently its core function. However, if the form data is submitted via WorkForms or integrated through tools like Make, Zapier, or API, that structured data can be used to generate a PDF and simultaneously populate columns in Monday.

For your use case, consider capturing form responses via a WorkForm (instead of uploading a static PDF), then using automation to fill out board columns and generate a PDF from the response—all done without saving files manually.

Every new response triggers the PDF generation automatically.
