It would be great to be able to auto create or copy subitems from one board to another.

I would like to be able to automate copying the subitems on one item on one board to an item on another board.

Try the Mirror Item Multiple Boards app!
It allows you to add the same item to multiple boards. It also automatically copies existing subitems on the item and auto-creates new ones as well.
