I am testing out software’s for our company to use for tracking social media post metrics and success. So far I am really liking how Monday is working, however there is one large issue and that being the automation. It appears to be missing the ability to capture social media post metrics. If I am linking the the post to the board there should be an automation to fill in the metrics for that post (clicks, impressions etc).
If this feature exists can someone tell me how to do this? I could not find anything on the internet or Youtube. Having to manually check each platform and scroll for each post just to update metrics is not something I want to do. We are only interested in tracking likes/shares. Clicks on the links would also be very neat, although we currently use google analytics for this it would be awesome it the metric could be automated to Monday as well.
You can use the Data Importer monday app for exactly this purpose.
You can import performance metrics either into your existing boards or create new boards with them. You can also set the metrics to update on a schedule so that they are automatically refreshed and show the latest data in your board.
A lot of our users are social media/marketing managers who use the app to import metrics directly into their social media calendar boards using post urls.
I’ve created some tutorials here that included Instagram, Facebook, Google Ads etc. but do let me know if you have any questions.
Hi James! I’m trying to use Data Importer for my team’s social media analytics as well. When I try to log in / connect our instagram account, it always requires me to login through Facebook. This doesn’t work, and I’m unable to log in to authenticate it. Is there a way to log in / connect through instagram directly?
I set up a form where our team drops in the weekly numbers, then linked that to a dashboard so it updates automatically. It keeps things organized without needing more tools.
Tried the Data Importer a while back to pull metrics into my social media calendar board, and it really saved me time checking stats manually. One time, I wanted a quick boost for a YouTube video, so I used a tool to buy YouTube views, and the engagement picked up noticeably within minutes.
