Hi All,
I am trying to streamline a monthly process. Twice a month we need to create a task that all our managers need to complete. I am trying to do this the most efficient way possible, but I am struggling.
The task is identical, I know I can just set an automation to alert all team members, but I’d really like if I could find a way to duplicate the task for each assignee, so I can see who has completed it and who hasnt. There is approximately 20 people, so I don’t want to add that many status columns.
If I create a sub-task, I would have to manually go in and pop a name in each time;
If I create task in new group, I also can’t dictate that it keeps the name;
There is an app called ‘Subitem templates’ that could work. OR you can set up an automation to create the same task 20x and have it assign by person. Is it the same 20 people each time?
Another option would be to create a single main task and then add subtasks for each manager.
Each subtask would represent one manager’s responsibility.
Managers could update the status column on their respective subtask to indicate completion, which you could reflect in the parent item to see who has completed their part of the task.
As such, you should hopefully no longer have to manually input names or create multiple status columns,
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Harsh

Thank you, I was trying to find an automation version though. This is for another team lead, and its more work to do it through Monday currently, then the process they have. In order to try and gain support for the system, I was looking for a more automated way! Currently there is no automation that creates a sub-task from a main task and includes a task name automatically.
