Automations with exception

Something that I feel is missing with the automation is the option for exception. Here is an example:
“When timeline starts, notify its owner”
But if that person has already worked on it, the notification is just noisy.
The exception would go:
“When timeline starts, notify its owner UNLESS the status is ‘done’”.
