Better dynamic values in Docs

HI there Monday team,

I know dynamic values in Docs is still in beta, but I have 2 suggestions for improvement:

  1. While it is possible to choose dynamic value from a formula column, the shown value is ‘No value’ even if there is an actual value in the column.

  2. Adding the option to include dynamic values in the Doc title will be great

Thank you very much!

I would also love to be able to use a dynamic value in the document title. This feature is great to easily make docs from the column values, but having to manually title every one is a bit of a let down.

I would also like to see it look a little better visually. I don’t love the outlines around the dynamic value text.

Another feature that would be great is the ability to use dynamic column values as placeholders in a doc template. Currently dynamic column values are only available on docs that are created in a Doc column on an item.

The use case is we create many item docs from a template. If we can put the placeholders in a template, that would eliminate having to manually add in the dynamic value on every doc created on an item. This would save us so much time.

I understand that there is no item when creating a template; however, it should be possible to add in conditional checks to render the content if there is an existence of a column on that board. Perhaps an option to select a board and column when selecting the dynamic value.

I agree 100% with this. If I would be able to use this to make a template for things like invoices. Where I can have dynamic values like {item.invoice amount} or {item.quote number} that I can insert into a Monday Doc invoice template and have it read the column values and insert them into the dynamic values to make a complete invoice that I can send out without having to manually type in the information.
