I would like to filter this board by column “Close Date” by month. The only month specific options are: This Month. Once I have enough history, I would like to be able to filter by year as well.

Thanks for the vid! I seem to only have the standard 3 bar filter on all boards and Dashboards that doesn’t allow me to create Custom Filters? Is your custom filter something I have to add as an Admin?

Why can’t the date column just display the year? It will exclude the year but won’t give you the option of just year.

Would also love to filter by year instead of creating a between this date and that date to filter the year.

@ShawnBaden,

If you haven’t found a solution for this yet, I do have a workaround:

Set up a ‘Formula’ column on the same board (you can hide it from your views when we’re done) and set up the formula to extract just the ‘year’ section of your date column through the use of the YEAR() function.

If the ‘Date’ column in question were called ‘Sample Date’, the formula would be as follows:

YEAR({Sample Date})

This will create a column with an (admittedly ugly) integer in it. You can then set your filter on this column and swap from year to year (or combine many) much more easily.

Hi @zaneta - The advanced filters for Dashboards isn’t out for general release yet, correct? It’s not showing up for us or any of our clients yet. Before posting this, I tried creating a new dashboard and the filters are still just the basic style. Do you have an ETA on monday labs release?

@PolishedGeek Ah yes, you are right! I should have clarified :sweat_smile: We plan to release it for everyone very soon (hopefully by the end of the quarter). In the meantime, you can write in to support@monday.com to request that we add the feature for you to test before then :slightly_smiling_face:
