Board & Group Permission per user

Hi

Im looking for a feature in Board Permissions to assign team members to different settings. Settings to be “View”, “Comment” or “Edit”. As of now the permissions are set as general for users to be view mode or edit but it would be beneficial to have it down to Board Permissions or even a Group Permission within 1 board to be assigned per user.

Our company has the board organized by Departments. All team member sometimes needs access to each others boards but to a limited setting of making edits on certain groups but having view setting to all or some. If Monday.com team can make this setting happen it would be very beneficial for our team. Would love this feature.

I second this! We have the same issue.

I would also want the ability to restrict access to groups on a board.

Here is my use case:
I am the team leader.
My team has a single board we are collaborating on.
I set up an automation to get a project created when I receive an email. Then these emails show up as projects in a group on the board called “Incoming”.
95% of these emails are related to the team’s activity, so no problem if everyone can see them.
But there is the 5% that are management related and they occasionally contain information that should not be seen by others. First I was trying to make a filter on the Gmail integration, but honestly I can’t for this particular use case.
It would be nice if I could hide the “Incoming” from other users, and when I go through the projects I move them to other groups and then they would show up for everyone. Mails not concerning my team go to another private board.

For now, I am thinking about setting up either a separate board, private, just for the incoming emails, or use my other private board and move the Incoming group there. But that would mean that at least 95% of incoming emails will have to be moved between boards which adds extra steps to the process. Not the end of the world, but inconvenient.

It will also be strange to have an Income group on my private board for team management that fills up with projects that are 95% not management related.

So yeah. Group permissions/restrictions would be amazing.
