I was wondering if there is a way to manually add holidays into a “master calendar”.
For example, our boards are setup so you can’t set Weekends when defining a timeline. Whenever spanning over a month, it will only consider work days when it looks at the total days a task took.
I’m looking to add holidays to the calendar, so if I span a month that has holidays in it:
1.) It won’t let me start or finish a task on a holiday similar to how it won’t let me start or finish on a weekend.
2.) Total days of a project timeline won’t include holidays just like it doesn’t include weekends.

as far as I know there is no option to at holidays at the moment. I totally support your request though and there already is a similar request in the featuer feedback section Holiday/Blackout days in Timeline/Gantt Views where you can upvote this request.

We have a separate board where we enter “holidays”, then combine this in the dashboard/workload views so peoples holidays are shown. This “allocates” them to the holiday project, so they are not booked on other work. … it would be beneficial if the users profile could be set with a method for approved holidays.
